You're running inside justfor a moment ... nope! Kids and pets cannot be left in the car on a hot day. Double check that the car is empty of people and pets each time you exit. Safety in the heat is your number one concern!

You want to stay fit even in summer (or especially in summer), but the heat can be a killer. Try bike rides or jogging outside of peak sun hours.  Early morning or late evening can make all the difference. Your body will thank you!

For those summer sports events, carry an ice bucket or ice chest with towels inside. If they are damp or wet, so much the better. Use them to wrap your neck or over your head. Cooling completed!

Summer's heat can dry your eyes, and being outside is an invitation for pollen and other irritants to invade your vision. Sterile eye drops can provide instant relief. Have a bottle with you the next time you head out for the day!

Summer is prime time for water-based activities. The CDC recommends always swimming with a companion. With children, always have a designated adult for safety! Be safe and have fun!
