Shake your boiled egg in a glass before peeling it. The shell pieces will easily slough off with the interior membrane surrounding the egg. Experiment to get it just right!



Heavy metal candlestick holders might be out of fashion, but they make great paper towel holders. Choose one that will slip inside the core of a paper towel roll, and you have the perfect kitchen counter accessory!


Use smaller ice trays for frozen yogurt treats. Drop in a few blueberries or other fruits (section larger ones), smooth in yogurt until filled, and freeze. Keep them in a freezer bag for a quick, yummy bite!


Press a dry wire (or plastic) whisk into flour or powdered chocolate to easily remove as much as you need. Work it in and lift it straight out. The wisk will hold the flour inside, and you can shake it out into your bowl. Job done!


The green shaker lid from a parmesan cheese container will screw onto a mason jar. Use it to dispense baking soda on your carpets, laundry detergent in the wash, or even fertilizer on your garden plants! The uses are endless!
