Pill bottles tend to be labeled on the side, but when we open our pill drawer, all we see is the top. Using tape and a Sharpie, note what's in each one, especially prescription bottles that all look the same. You'll navigate at a glance and save tons of time!

I know I bring this up from time to time, but a gratitude list is a great way to get over November's sometimes gloomy days. Using a bound journal is a great idea, as it allows you to review the good things you can be grateful for in your days. Write down one thing each day (or more if you're having an especially good day). Look back through them when you're down and remind yourself that life can be good, and it can be good to YOU!

Toy boxes and clutter drawers seem to attract dust. Here's a solution: Punch (or drill)holes in a plastic pill container. Slip it over the end of your vacuum hose and vacuum away. It will get all the dust without picking up anything it shouldn't. Problem solved!

November is usually too early to prune roses way back, but you can clip especially tall branches that might be damaged in strong winds. Trim only about a third, then wait for February to take them the rest of the way down. November pruning done!

Cooler weather can squash outdoor activities. Don't let the TV fill the empty space in your days. Options instead: reading, crafting, or (dare I suggest) housework thatyou put off during summer. Keeping busy can also curb the fall munchies we all seem to get. Now, up! And busy!
