Children are born with 100 billion brain cells. Positive family interaction sculpts them in positive ways. Sing that silly song. Go to the park. Laugh with them ... and solve the problems your child creates with a positive attitude. Your children will be happier adults when you do.

You can't spoil a child with too much love. That comes from material indulgence and over-protection. Instead, hugs. Listening. Family meals together. You've got this, so show your child your love!

What are you good at? Start your day with that, whether it's folding towels, encouraging someone, or cooking cookies. Then move to the rest of the day, and you'll begin that tougher task with a success already under your belt.

When you want your child to change their behavior, walk the walk. Don't just tell them, show them by your actions. Respect. Empathy. A positive attitude. They are watching you, and they'll pick up on your behavior.

Say, "I'm putting my keys in the drawer," when you slip them inside. You're more likely to remember when you're looking for them later. It works for your shoes and umbrella, too.
