Hug the gift-giver ... or say something kind about them. You can only open Christmas Morning presents in your pajamas. A present on the table with your breakfast. A Christmas family sing-a-long. Then plan to repeat the best ones next year! You'll enjoy the stories of, "Last year, remember what Dad did?"

Keeping your portions in check is key. Keep your calorie-dense servings to the size of your palm and vegetables twice that. Easy weight control in place!

The holidays aren't for eating perfectly. There's too many treats to avoid, so don't. Just don't binge every day. Pick a binge day, tell yourself it's not a diet day, and enjoy yourself. One or two days a week of enjoying all that eye candy is better than 31 days straight, after all. Happy Holidays around the dinner table!

When at a shop, let someone else have your place in line. Either take their place at the end or let them cut in front of you. Just be mindful of other shoppers if there's a long line, and you'll make someone's day!

All you need is a corner of a room (I use my dining room) and you have a wrapping station. A fold-up table, a roll of tape, and a pair of scissors. Then, after the holiday season, it can store away until next year. Christmas made easier!
