Dishwashers are great, but they also cause kitchen utensils to sit in hot water. If something can rust, it will. A toothbrush and vinegar (apple-cider vinegar works fine) will clear the rust. Soak it overnight if you have to. After the dishwasher finishes, be sure to open your dishwasher door a bit even if you run the heated dry cycle. Your dishes will thank you.

Plastic wipe containers are resealable to keep your wet wipes wet. Once empty, wash the plastic container (dry thoroughly!) and tuck in the contents of a box of dry tissues. They will pop up as normal but can be sealed away with a click of the lid and remain 100 percent sanitary.

Have your coworkers save their synthetic cork stoppers for you. Drill a small hole about halfway through the cork, then slip it on your tube of partially used caulk. The seal will be airtight.

Those six-pack drink organizers are great to reuse as shop totes. Use for spray paint, tubes of caulk, or cleaning supplies. When you need them on the go, they are ready and waiting.

Kids leave everything in their pockets, and some of it will eventually make it to the dryer. For melted crayon, toss in old towels and run the dryer on high. Then work the remaining wax with WD-40 or Goo Gone. Note: Air out your dryer when using these products. The fumes need to totally dissipate to prevent a fire hazard.
