God's Revelation and Your Future

Salvation Truth as Revealed from the Book of Revelation

The book of Revelation reveals Christ in His power and glory and the future as under God’s control.

The book of Revelation is often ignored in Bible study groups, and even by preachers because of the difficult symbolism and sometimes vague-sounding visions, but it is the one book in the Bible that God promises a special blessing to those who simply read it.

The book of Revelation is first and foremost a revelation about Jesus, not just the future.

Even the title of the book suggests this: “THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.” The focus is not just the future, it is the power of God in control of the future.

Jesus in the Gospels is the man of sorrow, acquainted with grief, pierced with our iniquities, etc. But here John reveals Christ as the King of Glory! Jesus here is the conqueror, the one in charge of history, the one who alone controls the future, controls the nations, controls all the universe! This is the Jesus who is coming!

The book of Revelation shows us the glorified Christ and the certainty of His ruling over all things. We are not stumbling toward an uncertain future, but we will not enjoy this future if we are not in fellowship with the King!

We must see this Jesus for faith in the future! This revelation is given to rouse the church to impact the world, to get its own house in order, and to be at the ready for Christ’s triumphant return. The church cannot take the luxury of deciding it has plenty of time. There is a sense of immediacy and urgency to the book of Revelation. The early church expected Christ’s return at any moment and so should we. We are closer now to His return than at any other time in history!

To figure out the date of Jesus’ second coming, or who the person will be who will become the antichrist, is not the thrust of the book. The thrust of The Revelation of Jesus Christ is to reveal Jesus Christ and His control over tomorrow and to be ready for the future when it gets here! And it will get here! And only those who belong to Christ will welcome it and benefit from it.

Are you ready for the future?

At Your Feet cover front v2 for web posting

I was moved by this book. Tim is a good friend of mine and a masterful teacher of God's Word.

From Tim about His New Book:

There's power at the feet of Jesus!

Throughout the Scriptures, significant things happened at the feet of Jesus. They are still relevant to our lives today. I know. I've been there. I've sought the Lord at His feet for comfort and inspiration, and He has made His holy presence known to me.

We want to be where God is found, not in buildings built by men, but in the praises of His people. Our prayers become a footstool for the presence of the almighty God. He calls us into His presence when we gather at the feet of our Lord.

In this book, you will read of God's favor and His redemption, for you are chosen and forgiven.

In Jesus, You can find the rest you desire, for at His feet, His joy becomes whole. Come to Jesus today. He holds His hand out to you.

Book Front Cover

Ron Bryce is a friend from many years ago. He is a doctor and has written a really good book.

From Ron's website and description of his book:

American churches have implemented the best business practices possible in order to reach and retain members. And they have more money and political clout than ever in history. So why doesn’t the world find the Church pertinent? Author Ron Bryce joins this relevant conversation by examining the Church as the body of Christ through the lens of a medical doctor.

Fingerprint of God: The Church as a Living Body “will confirm your worst fears about the sad state of the institutional church today, but far more importantly, it will give you a Biblical vision for what is possible when God’s redeemed people function as the living body He intends them to be.” (Stan Key)

Using his 30+ years of experience as an ER doctor, Bryce examines the biblical idea of the body of Christ. “At first, it may seem odd to compare the human body to an unseen entity, but the Bible calls God’s children a body,” says Bryce. By exploring the processes within the human body and comparing them to those within the Church, Bryce gives new insight into cures for Church dysfunctions in our post-modern culture.

Instead of using the ways of the world to win the world, Bryce envisions the Church made alive again – not just on an individual level, but as the full body of Christ.

“When it comes to increasing the impact of the twenty-first century Church, our strength does not spring from our numbers or from our individual abilities, but from our interactions with one another and with the head of our body, Jesus Christ. We are members of one body. This demands leaving behind the idea that Christianity is a ‘Jesus and me’ relationship.”

“I hope this book helps with one thing – revival. When we have revival we become ‘alive again’. And not just alive again as individuals, but as the body of Christ. It is my hope that the body of Christ will become healthy and effective in carrying out Christ’s ministry in the world.”
