With the end of Daylight Savings Time, you have more hours of darkness. Make the most of it. Ice skate under the stars. Sip hot cocoa around a campfire. String holiday lights around your yard or house and turn them on. Holiday excitement initiated! Boo-ya!



Fatigue, tension, and fatigue are as much a part of the holidays as excitement and joy. Kick them out by maintaining as normal a routine as possible, and be sure to get enough sleep. That's key for a successful 2020 holiday experience.


This is traditionally the day to trick-or-treat. If you choose to go out, attach small, disposable flashlights to each person's costume. It won't matter if they make it home, and your child will be visible even if there are no streetlights around.

There's nothing fun about shampooing a pet during cold or wet weather. You can stretch the time between shampoos using baking soda for a temporary dry shampoo. Sprinkle it in, let it sit for a few moments, then brush away the oil and odor. Doggie clean!.
