Color code your cleaning sponges by purpose. Blue for dishes, red for bathrooms, and green for everything else. Match the colors to your personality, and you'll never get them confused!

Half a cup of vinegar, a pint of rubbing alcohol, and a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid. Add water to fill a gallon jug, and you are ready to go! Spray away!

The short winter days are perfect for finding things to do in the house. Even a self-defrosting fridge or freezer needs to be cleaned thoroughly once in a while. Empty the fridge and freezer (Set stuff outside if the temps are low enough!) and turn it off. Allow it to warm and defrost before scrubbing it down and restarting it. It will take about 24 hours to reach its optimal temperatures, but reloading your cold food will speed up the process.

Bathrooms and kitchen both! Check under your pipes for potential leaks. Do this weekly to catch drips early and prevent a major remodel!

Now's the time to sort your winter wear. What's not appealing (or that you refused to unbox at the first cold snap)? If that winter jacket wasn't the first choice when you opened your storage closet, it needs to go to someone who can use it. Donate what you're not using, and keep others warm, too!
