Six weeks is Halloween ... then Thanksgiving ... and Christmas! Repurpose last year's calendar. Make adjustments, and you'll be back on track for a great fall season!

With summer's slower pace fading, we have to readjust to keep on time. It's simple. Leave home early ... every time. The moments you might spend waiting (because you are early) can be spent winnowing out old emails on your phone or in bonus time with your companions. Your time is never wasted, only reassigned!

Most places are still warm enough for shorts and tees. Rain? Not a worry - you'll dry. Best perk? September crowds are thinner, and you might have your destination to yourself!

With summer winding down, our activity level can decrease. Don't let it! Aerobic excercise is moving our large muscles. Dancing will do it, or bicycling, running, or walking. Get out there!

Have a fun "drive" day with your kids. Tape a small circle on the floor, provide a paper plate for a "steering wheel," and give them driving directions. They must stay within their "dot" while following your directions to go faster, turn, stop, skid, go uphill ... or down. The faster you call directions, the more fun they will have!
