With cold weather blustering outside, seedlings can be started indoors. Your half orange or grapefuit rind is perfect for a starter pot. Slice it straight across or decoratively, pierce the bottom (for drainage), fill with starter medium, and in spring, place the entire citrus pot in the ground without disturbing the roots. Perfect spring garden ready to go!

Schedule your hardest tasks early in the day. You will feel more productive, and you won't be weighed down by dreading an upcoming chore!

Spread creamy (not chunky) peanut butter on an empty tissue roll. Roll it in bird seed mix, loop a heavy string through it, and hang it on a limb or nail. Happy birds!

Metal key rings are hard on fingernails. Use an inexpensive staple remover to spread the loops apart. Pinch between the loops, and once your key is started, job done!

A few seconds under running hot water (just the lid) will open a stuck jar lid easily. Give it a try!
