Give new situations time before making emotional decisions. Whether relocating or in a new relationship, expect to be unsettled for a time. Things usually work themselves out.

Take a risk, even if it’s small. If it doesn’t work out, you haven’t lost much, but if it does, you’ve learned confidence in an unfamiliar situation.

Occasionally wrap ordinary items. Use tissue paper (very cheap!) and a piece of ribbon or string. Imagine your clean clothes, neatly folded, wrapped with a single ribbon. What a pleasant way to start the day!

Realize that what’s done is done. Never say, “If only . . .” when you give advice. Offer your support and move forward.
