Before the summer heat invades your attic, get up there with a yardstick and check the depth of your insulation. If it's less than twelve inches, maybe it's time to add insulation. You can even do it yourself by renting a blower machine and save yourself several hundred dollars. Get this done while it's cool! You'll be glad you did.

You don't want your kiddies rolling their rides on flat tires. Now's the time to check tire pressure on their bicycles. Raise the seats if your tykes have gotten taller over the winter. Your first trip to ride in the park will be a resounding success!

Plan one night a week to play a game. It only needs to take a few minutes, or it can take a few hours, however long your child is enjoying it. A game of checkers or Go Fish, you'll enjoy the memories. (A cookie treat will help your reluctant child look forward to your time together.)

Check those kiddie swimming pools and yard water toys. Inspect vinyl-walled pools for needed repairs and replace hose fittings to ensure they seal snugly. You'll be ready on the first hot day with no leaks in sight!

Share mealtime with your family. It might be on the patio, a picnic, or at the kitchen table, but eating together will help your kids better deal with the problems in their lives.
