Empty sock drawer? Are all the towels in the laundry AGAIN? Use a pen to become a super sleuth! Keep a notebook or small journal in a handy location, and when you think of something that needs done, jot it down. Then check it every evening to plan your next day. No more "lost opportunities" or deeds undone! Super you to the rescue!

If you have kids, you know the paperwork that comes home with kids on the last day of school. Now's the time to clean out backpacks and old folders. Select a few (with your child's help) to pack away, and shred or recycle the rest. Then, let the rest of summer begin!

Try a clothesline this summer! For sheets, towels (consider using the dryer for your more personal items), or tee shirts. On sunny days, things will dry quickly and you'll love the fresh smell!

Make yourself a five day challenge! Choose five rooms in your house to blitz in only a week. Toss, donate, sweep, mop, or dust. One chore for each room (or two chores each, if you have time). You will enjoy your home more, and you'll still be able to take the weekend off!

We don't think of housecleaning as a party activity, but moving furniture to mop underneath can be hard work. Bribe a friend with a dessert or an hour of free babysitting to help you out. Play happy music, and you'll both have a great time!
